The first meeting is free (20 minutes), thereafter £40 per counselling session (one hour).
Supervision for counsellors is £40 per hour or £55 per 90 minutes (discounted for trainee counsellors).
Counselling takes place in a comfortable, private room in my home in a quiet area of Skelmersdale (see picture).
My practice is in a quiet area of Skelmersdale, within easy reach of Ormskirk, Burscough, Southport, and Liverpool, only 5 minutes from the M58 and 7 minutes from the M6.
This is always up to you and differs with each individual. Some clients may feel they only need a few sessions over several weeks, while others may need longer. In the initial meeting we will discuss this and decide how long we plan to be together, although I always schedule a review at regular intervals to allow you to change this if desired. Sessions are usually held weekly and last one hour.
All counselling is private and confidential, apart from exceptional circumstances where there is any risk of harm to yourself or another person, which I will explain fully at the initial meeting.
Appointments are available Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10am-4.00pm. Usually I can see you within a week of calling, and if you leave me a message, I will generally get back to you within 24 hours.
I understand that you might be nervous or unsure, so I recommend that you come for an initial free 20-minute meeting, when you will have the opportunity to meet me, ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have, and decide if it’s for you. We can discuss your needs and plan when to start your counselling if you decide to go ahead.
