Supervision for Qualified or Trainee Counsellors
I love being a supervisor for other counsellors, and for your supervision I will give you the space for what you need - be it sharing and reflecting on your work, problem solving, or looking at your self-care.
G.T., March 2019
I take pride in establishing a warm rapport and respect with supervisees, and I aim to make supervision sessions rewarding, valuable and inspiring.
I offer supervision to both trainees and qualified counsellors at different stages in their career, either face to face or online using Skype or FaceTime.
To make sure that you get what you want and need from supervision, I offer a free initial meeting (or Skype or FaceTime call), when we can discuss your individual supervision needs.
I have a Certificate in Clinical Supervision and advanced supervision training in Hawkins and Shohet's 7-Eyed Process Model of Supervision.
I have been working as a counsellor since 2006, initially working with CRUSE the bereavement charity, and other agencies offering general counselling to adults. In 2011 I set up my private practice in Skelmersdale, which continues to be busy and rewarding - and I have learned a lot over the years about managing my own business.
Appointments are available from Tuesdays-Saturdays between 10am and 5pm (please note that I do not have evening appointments).
Fees are £40 per hour or £55 per 90 minute session (for counselling trainees the fee is £30 per hour or £45 per 90 minutes)
Our first introductory meeting is free of charge; I'd be delighted to meet you for a chat so that we have the opportunity to see if I could be the right supervisor for you.
