Supervision for Counsellors
NOW OFFERED: ONLINE OR FACE TO FACE SUPERVISION
The global pandemic has created unprecedentedly difficult times for all, and as a counsellor you may be feeling even more weight of supporting your clients, at the same time as trying to look after yourself and loved ones.
As a counsellor with a busy private practice myself, I understand the challenges which you may be facing, and I'd like give you the support you need with your professional practice and with your own needs.
For your supervision I will give you the space for what you need - be it sharing and reflecting on your work, problem solving, or looking at your self-care.
I take pride in establishing a warm rapport and respect with supervisees, and I aim to make supervision sessions rewarding, valuable and inspiring.
To make sure that you get what you want and need from supervision, I offer a free initial call (Zoom, FaceTime or telephone), when we can discuss your individual supervision needs.
I have a Certificate in Clinical Supervision and advanced supervision training in Hawkins and Shohet's 7-Eyed Process Model of Supervision. I have also attended training in Creative Supervision Skills which helps to reach those harder-to-reach parts of supervision!
I have been working as a counsellor since 2006, initially working with CRUSE the bereavement charity, and other agencies offering general counselling to adults. In 2011 I set up my private practice in Skelmersdale, which continues to be busy and rewarding - and I have learned a lot over the years about managing my own business.
Appointments are available from Tuesdays-Fridays between 10am and 5pm (please note that I do not have evening appointments).
Fees are £45 per hour or £60 per 90 minute session (for counselling trainees who are self-funding the fee is £40 per hour or £55 per 90 minutes)
Our first introduction is free of charge; I'd be delighted to have a chat on the telephone or online so that we have the opportunity to see if I could be the right supervisor for you.
